Everest Yoga Therapy sessions are for individuals who want to improve their health and wellness using an integrated approach of modern medicine and ancient healing.

A thorough intake with an RN/E-RYT looks into many aspects of your health as well as lifestyle and goals. You are treated as a whole person, not just a set of symptoms. Together, you will form a treatment plan and take home specific remedies designed just for you, to work in your busy life.

You will be given instructions on self-care and lifestyle changes to integrate into your daily routine. Ultimately, you will have a health plan tailored to your life.

Yoga asana, breathing, meditation, and relaxation are health tools supported by an in-depth knowledge of medicine and science. Safety for the client and trust in the therapist are key. The relationship and supportive environment is part of the healing.

Yoga combines the body, breath, and mind to reach a total conncection with yourself. Yoga Therapy uses these tools to address specific health and lifestyle concerns. Yoga therapy begins with respect for the body and the individual, and then uses experiences and daily activities, not just medicince, to manage how a body system is functioning.

WHAT IS YOGA THERAPY?
Is Yoga Therapy for me?
It doesn't matter if you are new to yoga, flexible, or own yoga pants! Yoga therapy has nothing to do with the "trendy" yoga classes that you see today. Our practice focuses on a slower, PURPOSEFULL sequencing to address individual needs. Not every yoga pose is good for every body!

Why Yoga Therapy Works

Anatomy and health can be a perspecitive. Every healthcare modality has different approaches to the same set of symptoms they were trained in. A chiropractor works with bones. A nutritionist looks at food. A doctor prescribes medicine, etc.
While these highly specialized fields may be helpful, they do not operate on the knowledge that the body is a complex, integrated system.
The mind and central nervous system is linked to our physical body, pain, and stress levels. It just makes sense that the mind and body be worked with as a system, not separate, in order to receive the best results. THIS is Yoga Therapy.
